Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Course Description: The Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) provider course is designed for healthcare provides who initiate and direct basic and advanced life support for pediatric patients. In this course, you will practice both basic and advanced skills needed during a pediatric emergency.

Course Content:

  • Identify and treat problems that put pediatric patients at risk for cardiac arrest
  • Review one and two-person CPR for infants and children
  • Select and administer appropriate medications and electrical therapies with arrhythmia scenarios
  • Establish rapid vascular access for fluid administration and giving medications
  • Demonstrate effective communication as a member and leader of a pediatric resuscitation team
