Course Description: Formerly called First Responder, this course will teach you the basics of good patient care and the skills you will need to deliver appropriate care to the victim of an accident or sudden illness until more highly trained emergency personnel arrive. Emergency Medical Responder’s actions can mean the difference between life and death.
- Treating basic medical emergency
- Controlling airway, breathing, circulation
- Control external bleeding
- Treating shock
- Treating minor injuries
- Splinting injuries to stabilize extremities
Course Length: 40 hours
Class will meet every Monday and Wednesday from 6 – 10 pm for 10 sessions.
Audience: For those individuals that want to make a difference and lend a helping hand to their community.
